Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information LocalAmped ("we", "us", "our") collects about you, how we use it, and what your rights are. We try to write it in plain English, not lawyer-speak.

Who we are

LocalAmped is a Canadian-owned digital marketing agency offering website builds, local SEO, Google Business Profile management, and automated review generation to service businesses. Contact: hello@localamped.com.

What we collect

• Information you give us: name, email, phone, business name, website URL, service area, and anything you type into our forms or email us directly.
• Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps. Standard server logs and analytics.
• Client-service data: if you become a client, we'll have access to systems you grant us (Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, GA4, WordPress admin, your CRM). We only use that access to do the work you hired us to do.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your inquiries and deliver any audit, proposal, or service you've requested.
• To run our client work (publish sites, update GBPs, manage reviews).
• To understand how our website is used and improve it.
• To send occasional business-related communication. You can unsubscribe any time.

Who we share it with

Short list: nobody, other than the service providers we need to run the business.

• Hosting, email, and analytics: our site is hosted on Cloudflare. Email goes through Postmark and Google Workspace. Analytics through Google Analytics 4.
• Payment processing: Stripe for cards, SureCart for checkout, FastSpring for digital products. They handle card data directly — we never see it.
• Client tools: where client work requires it, we use DataForSEO, Looker Studio, and similar tools. We never share client data between clients.
• Law: if required by a valid legal request, we'll comply. We've never received one.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent mailing lists. We do not run display ad remarketing against our site visitors.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and email correspondence: 3 years, then deleted. Client work data: for the life of the engagement plus 7 years for tax and audit purposes. Server logs: 90 days.

Your rights

Under Canadian PIPEDA, US state privacy laws (CCPA, VCDPA, etc.), and the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Withdraw consent (where applicable)
• Opt out of marketing emails (there's an unsubscribe link on every one)

Cookies

We use first-party cookies for basic site function and Google Analytics for usage stats. You can disable cookies in your browser. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Updates

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note it on our homepage for 30 days.
